Sanlakol Limited is one of Israel’s leading producers of long-standing high quality canned-fruits and vegetables. The Company was incorporated in 1940 by the Schonfeld family in Haifa, and became public in 1983 with its shares actively traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. From inception, SANLAKOL based its marketing strategy on expansion, both on the local and export markets, through constant product and technological innovation and customer service.
Back in 2015, the canning plant has been totally modernized and the old batch retorts have been replaced by a single rotary continuous system HYDROLOCK. There was a real challenge in replacing multiple discontinuous machines by a single big sterilizer which was taking the production for all products with multiple sizes of cans. (from 3 Kg cans down to 170 g cans) for corn, beans, tomato, and various other products.
Thanks to the continuous operation and rotation, we are able to process with shorter sterilization time to reach high quality product. For us Rotation is a must.
The timing of the project was also critical as the new canning line had to be installed at the same place than the old canning line, so there was no back up plan in case of delay or technical problem.
The project has been a real success, and Hydrolock as a company has fulfilled all its obligations, the service on site was good, the collaboration between Sanlakol and Hydrolock has been of high level.
Since the machine started in 2016, Sanlakol and Hydrolock have kept an excellent relationship, and the remote assistance, the after sales service are very good. Some improvements of the machine have been done, in order to be able to process new can formats.The machine runs very well with a high efficiency and reliability.
We can-say that we are fully satisfied of the machine and the after-sale services brought by Hydrolock.
